Porto, Portugal
01.2024
Whilst scouring the web for interesting, old(ish) cameras, I came across a preloved Leica X1. Having previously tried one a few years ago whilst working in a camera shop, I knew this would be a great travel companion and for the price, it was an absolute bargain! (Although it painfully meant selling off a rather beloved collection of film cameras).
As luck would have it, that week an old friend suggested a spontaneous 24 hour trip to Porto and back. Having bagged £35 flight tickets and booking the cheapest hotel we could find on via a quick Google search, we were off.
Fuelled on copious amounts of pastel de nata and only the ability to say yes and no in Portuguese, it was a great day out in amazing city with stunning architecture and a fascinating history. It's somewhere I hope to return to with a bit more time... that is as soon as my bank account has forgiven me and I have learnt some Portuguese!
